I will looking forward to read the rest four parts of the story. I have worked in similar projects and I recognize me in your description, thanks. Most organizations today provide an incentive not to share knowledge. Similarly, the Internet provides a strong incentive to either not share value or provide misinformation. We are no doubt fools, but have broken that rule once again by sharing an important white paper on the topic- "Unleash the innovation within". www.kyield.com/publications.html Abhijit- research and practice have both shown conclusively that the more intelligent the k worker, the less likely they are to share life-long knowledge- particularly in an environment that provides little security- without a strong incentive to do so. If you can share some of your experiences on how you created knowledge base from captive tactic knowledge it will be highly appreciable. I'm interested in knowing how fast Sharepoint has been adapted by your company and could your company function (not literally) if the plugs were pulled on it? Oh, where's part 2? Just imagine what could be accomplished with a state of the art knowledge system! -MM A tragic experience that shows us just how poorly many large companies are operating; also telling us something about why the financial services industry nearly caused us all to go down.
