EndUserSharePoint.com: Site Update

There are a few things that have been bothering me about the site lately, so I’ve done three things to set my mind at ease.

  1. Created an expandable, contractable archive
  2. Made it possible to link articles in a series
  3. Made categories a dropdown list

The site is getting so much content, I needed ways to ‘chunk’ it out better. The Article Archive is AJAXified, so that it only hits the server once… pretty nice.

You can now choose a category from the dropdown list in the top left corner. It will show you the number of articles in that category and then display them in reverse chronological order when seleted.

The series thingy will come in handy when you’re trying to follow the train of thought on a specific topic. I’m still in the process of setting up all series, but you should see major improvements in the next two days.

Just thought you’d like to know.
Mark

Yea, but Mark, when will all those advertisements on endusersharepoint.com that support your family go away?… Oh wait… you do this all for free.

    Thanks!

Thank you for adding the ability to link articles in a series. Should be standard for every blog!

    Steven,

Yeah, I should have done it a long time ago, but the plugins aren’t supported anymore so I had to write a solution myself.

Glad it’s useful for you. — Mark
