This was a very interesting session that provides a very logical way to organize 3 sites for the 3 different groups involved in a project. Take some time to listen/view the session to see how Michael sorts out what each group’s site will include and why. As usual Mark also provides some great insites based on his experiences. If you don’t own this book and you are a project manager, I highly recommend this as a “must have” part of your library!
Great Session! Really enjoying the series. Question re: permissions. We limit the use of permission groups because of the admin. headache that goes along with it. We are a small, closed shop, so except for truly confidential info, there is little need to restrict access to project docs. Our constituencies are probably the same, so I could see us using the same subsites with links as you describe, but without the permission levels. Are there other benefits to using permission levels in project collaboration I’m not considering?
