4 Minute Screencast: Create a Cross-Site Dropdown Menu
Original Publication Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2009
SharePoint User Level: Power User
As part of the Hack the SharePoint Interface – No Code Required! live online workshop, we provide the resources to create a cross-site / cross-site collection dropdown menu. The implementation is pretty simple and can be setup and configured in less than five minutes.
This screencast is a quick walk-through of how the solution works. Special thanks to Christophe at Path to SharePoint for the original solution.

Nice hack, but I am not sure if the “no code required” bit is tongue in cheek or intended to be literal. No SERVER code required may be accurate, but saying that using a custom webpart and a non-negligible amount of javascript equals no code would be quite the stretch…
