Case Studies in SharePoint Dashboards
Live Online

The lack of Excel Services in WSS makes it difficult to create usable dashboards to help analyze information in a glance. There are alternatives, however, that can be implemented by a site manager or Power User without recourse to third party solutions and web parts.

In this live online, hands-on session, dashboard parts will be created and installed in your own, private SharePoint sandbox provided by EndUserSharePoint.com. Solutions covered in this workshop include:

  • The Graphics Menu
  • Random Quote Generator
  • My Task Assignments with Visual Status Bars and High Priority Markers
  • List Web Part with Paging Mechanism
  • Expandsion and Contraction of Data within a Report Library
  • Quote of the Day
  • Contact Information
  • LyteBox for Opening Transparent Windows
  • Embed Analysis Images in Reporting Lists

Registration in this workshop includes a SharePoint sandbox for you to test your new web parts, downloadable and configurable web parts for inclusion on your site, hands-on labs that include use of the default web parts in WSS SharePoint for creating dashboards, and live, hands-on instruction.

At the conclusion of this workshop, you will have all the resources and knowledge needed to create and implement all of the web parts shown. In addition, the presentation will be recorded and available for viewing immediately after the workshop.

The host of Case Studies in SharePoint Dashboards is Mark Miller, Founder and Editor of EndUserSharePoint.com. In the past ten years, Mark has traveled throughout North America, Europe and Asia teaching live, in-person workshops at Hewlett-Packard, Charles Schwab, Intuit and Autodesk.

He has been teaching online since 1999 using Centra, Breeze or GoToWebinar.
