Top 10 SharePoint sites according to PostRank

I was doing some catch up work after returning from SharePoint Saturday in Chicago and hit Post Rank to see how things were going. Nice surprise this week… EndUserSharePoint.com is listed as #2 for the week. Thanks for all the great help from the contributing authors. Lovin’ it.

Rankings according to PostRank.com

Let’s take a look at the Top 10 SharePoint blogs according to Post Rank to see what everyone is up to.

  1. Congratulations! Keep up the great work. This site does well because of the community of folks helping others that you have built.

    Thanks, Mark!

Hey! I am not sure.. what you have looked for .. but when I Click on this link

    http://www.postrank.com/topic/Sharepoint

the URL shows me that EUSP is #1 . That’s great guys…! Keep up the good work.

  3. Thanks, Vamshi. I hadn’t seen that. Made me smile a bit. — Mark

  4. Jeremy Thake says:

Congrats Mark, BTW this does vary on a daily basis as the metrics are remeasured. So one day you can be on top and the next you can be on the second page ;-)

  5. Christophe says:

    Agree with Jeremy.
I’ve been monitoring PostRank for several months and the results just don’t make sense to me. Some sites go several hundred ranks up or down in a week (see your screenshot), what’s the meaning?

  6. Christophe says:

I’ll add that the results are inconsistent. I just took a look at the current ranking, and for the Infopath team it says:
    current: 14
    last week: 27
    Completely different from your screenshot.

  7. Oh well, maybe I caught it on a good minute. — Mark

  8. Christophe says:

Well, you have nothing to prove anyway :-)

I am still looking for a way to identify the best SharePoint blogs and posts.
Technorati has been a mess recently, and I have stopped updating my list of SharePoint blogs (last update is May 1st).
Postrank is a black box and fluctuates too much to be reliable.
The best I’ve found so far is Delicious. Unfortunately they don’t provide an easy way to pull stats or rankings from their site.
