I am pre-registered for the next workshop but am still trying to create this solution…

I have created everything based on your article “I Love the SiteDate.asmx Web Service” except the direct link to the permissions page of each library. This isn’t a default field pulled by the Web Service, so I know I will have to add a suffix to the library (or do I have to link to user.aspx???) but I don’t know what it is.

Will you at least drop a hint to someone who is registered to attend your next workshop?

In seems like that as long as your SharePoint is internal only, what’s the difference between keeping patient info in SharePoint versus any other file share or database on your internal network?
For your daily searches, have you tried setting up search alerts for yourself? Just perform a search in MOSS, then when your results page displays, there’s an “alert me” button, so that you can be alerted to changes in those search results in the future.

Also, AvePoint came to speak at our SPUG last night, and I learned that they have a product you can purchase that performs this type of automated auditing and searching for you. I think this product was specifically created with HIPAA and SOX compliance in mind. You may want to check them out.

Hi Laura,
Great information keep them coming. I know you work in a hospital and so do I. I work for a military hospital and using MOSS for our Intranet. We have 84 sites that I maintain and here is my question/concern, “How do I get around Protected Health Information (PHI) and HIPAA?” We worry about someone uploading the wrong information. Part of my job is checking the sites every day :(. This takes most of my day. Hope you can help.
