2009-09-14-ChartsAndGraphsDuring my presentation on “Charts and Graphs in WSS” at SharePoint Saturday this weekend, I turned on Camtasia and recorded the hour long presentation.

Instead of embedding it the way I normally do, I’m making it available for download since it’s over 40 megs. Right click the link and choose “Save target as…”. This will place the recording on your harddrive so you can listen at your convenience.

In some places in the recording, my voice seems to fade out. This is when I walk out into the audience for discussion. The microphone remained on the podium. It’s worth cranking up the volume at these points because the discussion was very interesting since it is context based.

Sorry you couldn’t attend SharePoint Saturday, but hopefully this will help a little.

    Mark,

In your recorded presentation you mentioned that you have all kinds of documentation to implement yahoo based charts on the website. I searched the site for this, was able to find the google api code but not the one with yahoo and linking the list view. Would appreciate if you can point me to the link and webpart Pie_Charts.dwp you used in your demo.

    Thanks,
    Varma

    Varma,

The web part pie chart from the demo was created by Paul Grenier and is part of our live online workshop solutions. Unless Paul releases the code to the public, you’ll have to take his workshop :-)

Regarding documentation for the Yahoo API, here’s a pointer to the resources you need to create your own charts and graphs:
