Where to eat in Las Vegas: A local’s perspective
I’m working with The Queensboro Shirt Company to get the EUSP shirts delivered in time for SharePoint Conference 2009. There was a glitch at UPS, so Donna at Queensboro is helping track it down.
As a PS to her followup confirming they’ve got me covered, she included this:
I lived in Henderson, NV for a little over a year, so here’s my ex-local’s 2 cents. The Pharoah’s buffet at the Luxor is not great; The Rio is much better for cost+selection (Sunday brunch rocks) and The Wynn has the best cocktail shrimp and crab legs on a buffet that you will find in Vegas but it’s pricey. They also have an ice cream shop at the end of the hall past all the expensive stores that is heavenly.
Best sushi ever is in Henderson at O Yummy at Sunset & Green Valley (not Yummy, O Yummy, there is a difference). Enjoy!
Now THAT’S customer service. Completely unsolicited, personal touch. The Queensboro Shirt Company… highest rating, five stars.

As a current local, I’ll agree that the Rio has a good buffet (and you can stop at the iBar for some Surface action), but the best sushi is definitely Sushi KO, off 95 and Craig. Shame it’s a good 35 min off the strip.
I asked my sister who lives in Henderson about this.
She agrees with the Luxor review.
MGM Safari Rain Forest is a place they eat at regularly.
