Events This Week: SharePoint Saturday, NYC SPUG and SharePoint Roadshow
It’s going to be a busy week with all the events going on. I’ve been seeing tweets from Todd Klindt at the Ignite Amsterdam event today, so I know events are global.
Here are a couple I’m keeping track of.
New York City SharePoint User Group
I’m on a panel at the New York City SharePoint User Group (NYC-SPUG) on Wednesday night in New York City. We’ll be talking about what we saw at SharePoint Conference 2009. Meet and greet starts at 5:30 with speakers going on a little after 6:00pm. NYC-SPUG is very well attended, so please register in advance to guarantee a seat.
SharePoint Saturday Philly
SharePoint Saturday Philly is completely booked with 350 attendess this Saturday. I’ll be giving two talks on the content that Christophe Humbert from Path to SharePoint has provided on the calculated column for Visualizing Information in SharePoint, and another on Killer Calendars in SharePoint.
SharePoint Saturday Raleigh and SharePoint Saturday Redmond
Speaking of SharePoint Saturday, there’s one in Raleigh and one in Redmond this weekend. I’ve set up the EUSP Live Twitter Tracker so you can follow tweets coming out of the session. It’s a three panel setup: Philly, Raleigh and Redmond, side-by-side.
SharePoint Roadshow: Chicago
Kris Wagner is helping coordinate the SharePoint Roadshow from Chicago. He has put together a stellar panel including Bob Fox, Asif Rehmani, Paul Schaeflein, Ram Gopinathan, Chris Johnson, Darrin Bishop, Robert Bogue and Rick Taylor. This is an all-day event sponsored by Microsoft, International SharePoint Professionals Association (ISPA) and other major vendors with one goal in mind: SharePoint 2010 Education. We have added a panel to the EUSP Live Twitter Tracker to follow this event.
Create a SharePoint Multi-Media Resource Center
I am leading a live online workshop this Friday, demonstrating how to build a SharePoint Multi-Media Resource Center. The workshop is supplemented with a week long series of articles to give a general overview of the techniques and solutions used in the workshop.
If that doesn’t keep you busy, you’ve got too much time on your hands. Hope to see you somewhere this week. — Mark
