FAST Search and the SharePoint Admin
The 500 Words into the Future section on ZDNet.co.uk has an article on FAST search and its integration into the SharePoint admin role.

The article is a good, high level overview, written in layman terms for those trying to wrap their head around FAST and it’s implications in your SharePoint environment. Natalya Voskresenskaya has also written an article, SharePoint and the FAST Enterprise Search Platform, that includes a history of SharePoint search and why FAST is a game changer when it comes to quickly exposing enterprise information.
FAST will play a critical role in enterprise search for SharePoint. These two articles will help bring it into focus for those just getting started.
