Update 2010-01-22 (11:00am EST)
Good Morning, Afternoon Evening.

This is a “warm up” note to tell you how Live Online SharePoint Saturday EMEA is going to work. More updates will follow during the day, including the schedule of presentations.

There will be three (3) simultaneous sessions running each hour. I have created three instances of Live Meeting, calling each instance a “Channel”. The schedule for each Channel will be posted a little later today on EndUserSharePoint.com, on the registration page and on SharePointSaturday.org/emea. Participants will choose a channel each hour. They are welcome to switch back and forth between channels.

The first session starts at 8:00am GMT (London) (Find the start time for your time zone here.). Joel Oleson and I will do the intros together and then present a short keynote talk to get everthing started. That will be done on Channel 1. Everyone should log into Channel 1 for the first session of the day.

Please register to receive the URL for the event.

There is no password needed, so leave that field blank. You might be asked for an email address and a company name. Fill in the details, if requested, and you’ll be moved into the Channel.

In order to hear the presentations, you will need speakers or headphones. THERE IS NOT CONFERENCE CALL DIAL IN NUMBER since this is an internation event. Everything will be done over your computer.

Please keep an eye on EndUserSharePoint.com and follow me on twitter (@EUSP) for up to the minute updates. I’ll be posting the final schedule for all three Channels within the next few hours.

Sincerely, thanks for participating in this event. There are sure to be glitches along the way since this is a nine hour session, but we’ll try our best to make the presentation process as transparent as possible.

Looking forward to a great event.
