I taught a set of private workshops in Raleigh, NC last week and was very pleased with the final outcome. However, as any experienced instructor knows, the evaluations can be deceptive because most of the evaluation questions are leading or too open ended. You can get an overall feel, but not real feedback from those.

So, I had a big smile on my face when I saw this in this morning’s email:

I just wanted to submit feedback to you regarding a class I recently took. I seriously went from never touching SharePoint to getting excited and ready to start my own SharePoint site in two days.

In our class we had a wide variety of SharePoint users. From people like me in the beginning stages to others who have been using SharePoint for years.

Mark was terrific with his organization of teaching as it made sense to all of us at the same time and “HC” (Holly Cow) did we all learn so much. Not only did I learn about the functions of SharePoint but I learned how I can make SharePoint work for me and cater to the tasks of my position.

Mark made learning simple and kept the interest alive. Nobody was falling asleep, we were all exctied about what we were learning and more and more ideas kept popping out as we learned about the multiple functions of SharePoint.

I am so glad to have taken this class and I plan to continue learning with Mark through all of his SharePoint resources.

This was completely unsolicited and unexpected. The nice thing is, I don’t think it’s just about me that she’s commenting on. One of the things we stress in our EUSP Live Online Workshops is that solutions must be real world, they must be put in the context of what the participants need RIGHT NOW!
