Snaz Up Your Twit Pic with an EUSP Ribbon
If you’re on twitter, this article is for you.
I was playing a round with Twibbons over the weekend, trying to setup an easy way for people to show their affiliation to EndUserSharePoint.com. A couple EUSP authors jumped in right away and the app completely took over their entire twit pic, turning everyone into EUSP.
It was kind of embarrassing, to say the least. I hastily pulled the twibbon campaign and was about to sneak back into my cave, when I had a couple people ping me to say they really liked the idea, but the execution sucked.
That’s when Marcy Keller stepped in. You might know her from the article she did, Make Your SharePoint Site More Intuitive. She whipped up a nice little diagonal ribbon, kind of like a beauty queen type of thing and passed it over. A couple people are already using it: Christina Wheeler, Marcy Kellar, even EUSP.
I would love for you to add the ribbon to your twit pic to show your support for the site. Here’s how to do it.
- Open your twit pic in an image editing program like Photoshop, Fireworks or Paintshop Pro… whatever you’ve got handy.
- For best resampling on the twitter end, make your original image a square. It doesn’t matter what size.
- Download the ribbon Marcy created and place it on the top layer of the image.
- Resize the ribbon so it fits in the bottom, right corner
- Save the image and upload as your new twit pic.
It would be awesome to open Tweetdeck in the morning and see a bunch of EUSP ribbons waving at me from a dozen or more twit pics.
