SharePoint Saturday: Philly and DC
May is shaping up to be a fun month with two SharePoint Saturday’s within distance of New York City.
On May 8th, my five year old daughter and I will be tackling the masses as SharePoint Saturday Philly. She’s going to help me deliver my two presentations: “SharePoint Scripting Resource Center” and “SharePoint Interface Enhancements with jQuery”. That last one was one of the most well received presentations I’ve ever given, presented at SharePoint Summit Montreal last week and was supposed to present in London this week, until a little bit of volcanic ash got in the way.
The last time I spoke at SharePoint Saturday Philly, it was a very well run event with a lot of excitement from an extremely appreciative crowd.
On May 15th, I’ll be at a MASSIVE SharePoint Saturday in Washington DC. This promises to be the biggest SharePoint Saturday event ever conceived. Dux and team are looking at getting 800 people to show up! There are currently 700+ registrations, so please don’t wait if you want to attend this one. Here are the stats so far: “There are a total of 87 speakers, 84 sessions plus 5 vendor- led sessions”.
87 speakers?! Say what? This sounds more like a conference than a SharePoint Saturday. If you want to attend an overflow event with too many sessions to choose from, this would be worth flying in for. I’m taking the train down from NYC on Friday, just to get myself ready.
I look forward to meeting you in person if you can make one of these events. To see all the SharePoint events happening over the next few months, you should bookmark the SharePoint Community Calendar and start planning your summer schedule.
