The SharePoint50 Project: Top Analysts

The SharePoint50 ProjectIn our final installment of the SharePoint50 Project, we announce the analysts who are the most influential when it comes to a company purchasing SharePoint. For me, this was the most interesting segment of all because I only recognized one name on the list when I first read it.

Seriously. Look at the pictures below. How many faces to you recognize? If you say more than three, and you are not one of them, you need to be writing for me. Come to think of it, ALL the people below should be writing for me!

Analysts have more influence than I ever realized before this study, but then it makes sense after you think a little about it. The big analyst companies make their living by doing deep dives and specific verticals and selling the research. They are highly trusted and perceived as being the epitome of third party objectivity.

If I was to follow only one segment of the Sharepoint50, this would probably be it. Take a look and tell me what you think.
