As word gets out, I fully expect that this will drive adoption of SharePoint Server 2010 in the short-term even for companies that decide to take a slow approach to upgrading to 2010 for the traditional strengths of existing 2007 installations.

So is SharePoint a disruptor? Reviewing any single component as a standalone solution – probably not.
