In Windows Explorer (start menu and search for windows explorer) view the drives on your computer and under network location, right click in free space, and select Add Network Location. This will open the Network Location wizard. Copy and paste the URL of your site collection (but you must delete everything from pages on: /pages/default.aspx). Click next and enter in the name of the SharePoint site that is recognizable for you. Click next/finish and now you will be able to drag/drop and cut / paste documents to and from document libraries. Problem didn't occur when I copied the document through the "Explorer view". When we used the Explorer View all the files didn't copy over. I'm not sure if there is a maximum number that can be copied at one timne. I was told that the Explorer View was not the best method for copying files from one document library to another. I can copy a few files at a time and verify that they copied over, but that can be time consuming. I don't have access to any special tools as an end user and was wondering if there was a simple way to copy files and folders to another library. Most people asking question here are at the site collection admin level, max. Your solution will be ok for those who have access to the server, but most won't. Nadine, the problem with moving files between libraries is that the metadata is not transferred to the new library. In addition, if there are mandatory columns in the new library, multiple file movement will leave all of the files in "Checked Out" mode and no one will be able to see them. Better take a step back and give us some details on EXACTLY what you are trying to do. This is very annoying if you have a page with heaps of data.
