On the left side of the screen, instead of the regular Quick Launch, there are actually web part zones. This explains why you're not seeing the same items as you would normally see on a quick launch.

Laura Rogers
jlschu1 on "Blog Issue" http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/topic/blog-issue#post-2944 Wed, 10 Dec 2008 16:25:38 +0000 jlschu1 2944@http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/
Hello -

I have a issue with blog sites and quick launch bar

The issue is when adding a header or a link to a Blog site’s Quick Launch bar thru the Navigation Settings it does not appear. However if I click on the header “Other Links” in the quick launch it takes me to a new window with a new quick launch bar and the header I created appears and the quick launch bar is completely different. I am not sure why this happens. I am doing some research as this is a little over my head.

I am in MOSS 2007 and Global Nav setting selected is "Display the same navigation items as the parent site" and the Current Nav setting selected is "Display only the navigation items below the current site".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
