If so, you will be able to see what happening between version. And for Office 2003 and 2007 to live together, you need to install Windows SharePoint Services Support from Office Tools of Office 2007.

And be sure that the site is into your Local Intranet zone.
We have a lot of problem and this is the way we resolved them.

Eric
tobrien on "Excel files corrupted on SharePoint site?" http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/topic/excel-files-corrupted-on-sharepoint-site#post-6138 Fri, 24 Apr 2009 17:02:20 +0000 tobrien 6138@http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/
We're having a couple of weird issues with some Excel files in a WSS 3 document library - and to make it worse, it's inconsistent (don't you just love that?).

About a dozen users have files in the library - they check out for editing, then check back in when done. Or at least, they're supposed to do it that way. I do know that some users have Office 2007 and some have Office 2003.

Problems are: being asked for a password for an excel file that was never password protected to begin with, and being unable to open a previously edited Excel file - error says the "file is in a different format than specified in the file extension."

Any help would be most appreciated!

Therese
