For example, if a user is granted access to a document in your document library, they will have a "Limited Access" setting on both the document library and the site. The only way I've seen these removed is if the user is removed from the item AND from the higher level items. It's been a while, but I don't think it should just disappear.
dawend on "SharePoint 2007 Limited Access Missing, gone, not there" http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/topic/sharepoint-2007-limited-access-missing-gonenot-there#post-5325 Mon, 23 Mar 2009 11:51:19 +0000 dawend 5325@http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/
Has anybody ever had the "Limited Access" permission just disappear in SharePoint 2007? It is no longer a viewable option. I understand that it never was an option, simply applied to a parent object when permissions were applied to a child object. Now there is no longer a grayed “Limited Access” object in the permissions list. How is this possible??? Sorry this post should have been under the Administrative listings.
