It's me again.

I seem to be having a similar problem when importing old surveys into SharePoint 2007. The surveys were originally in SharePoint 2003. I exported them to an Excel spreadsheet and then imported them into SharePoint 2007.

However, I can't seem to display the survey information the same way as it originally appeared (e.g., Show All Reponses, Show a Graphical Summary of Responses). I've fiddled with various views, but I can't get it right.

Also, the survey basically seems to be nothing but static info, and there is no interactive functionality (e.g., Respond to this Survey, Add a Question, etc.)

Is there a way to make the survey "live" again or am I supposed to treat the old survey data merely as an archive? I hate to complain, but I am dealing with people who want to see the information in SharePoint 2007 exactly as it appeared in SharePoint 2003, and expectations are running high.

I'd appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.

-J
jgrant on "StartTime/EndTime wrong after importing calendar" http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/topic/starttimeendtime-wrong-after-importing-calendar#post-4500 Mon, 23 Feb 2009 13:35:14 +0000 jgrant 4500@http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/
Nuts! That's bad news, but thank you for the quick response nonetheless.
laura67 on "StartTime/EndTime wrong after importing calendar" http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/topic/starttimeendtime-wrong-after-importing-calendar#post-4498 Mon, 23 Feb 2009 13:13:16 +0000 laura67 4498@http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/
I called Microsoft tech support about this one a couple of years ago. They ended up telling me "oops, that's a bug".

Laura Rogers
jgrant on "StartTime/EndTime wrong after importing calendar" http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/topic/starttimeendtime-wrong-after-importing-calendar#post-4453 Fri, 20 Feb 2009 13:40:29 +0000 jgrant 4453@http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/
Hello and thank you for this forum.

I was able to import a calendar from an Excel spreadsheet into SharePoint 2007. (Note: The calendar was originally in SharePoint 2003. I exported it to Outlook 2003 and from there to Excel 2003 SP3).

The appointments came up on the appropriate days after I changed the data type of the StartDate and EndDate fields to Date. However, all the appointments are set to start and end at 1am or 2am, regardless of the real start and end times.

To get around this, I have tried several things...
1. Setting the data type of the StartTime and EndTime fields to Date/Time.
2. Creating a calculated column containing the StartDate/StartTime and EndDate/EndTime (with a Date/Time return type) and using those concatenated values for the begin/end.
3. Concatenating the StartDate/StartTime and EndDate/EndTime via formulas in the Excel spreadsheet itself and using those values for the begin/end when importing.

The result is always the same...the time part of the data get wiped and set to 1am or 2am.

Can you please help me? I'm under a tight deadline.

Thanks in advance,
-J
