I have a workflow that asks for approval from two people before the workflow can continue. Is it possible to have an approval workflow that can continue if either of the two approvers approves the request?

    Hi Toekiller,

I never used it, but I know that if you create a new approval workflow you can set "Complete this workflow when:
Following number of tasks are finished:" if the workflow is set to "All participants simultaneously (parallel)".

I hope it help you go on a solution. If not you can use Visual Studio 2008 for complex Workflow.

  3. I'm going to be doing a workshop on creating your own custom approval workflow:

Just for the record, Eric's solution does work right out of the box. Use the OOTB approval workflow, set it to Parallel and then set the "Complete this workflow when: Following number of tasks are finished" value to 1.

  5. Yes, I am aware that Eric's works with an OOB approval workflow. The workshop is for people who are interested in creating their own custom approval workflows. This would be for situations where the OOB one doesn't do exactly what you want it to do.

Thanks, but I'm building my own workflow using sharepoint designer and have setup a parallel approval section. I can't see any option as per your suggestion.
