Is there a way to automatically change from View A to View B when a user opens a Sharepoint folder?

Attach a view to a folder?

Not directly since a folder is technically still the same list (whatever view you use for the list will be the same for each folder).
I'm sure there is a way through JavaScript however, since you can tell you're in a folder by the URL. The script would detect this, then redirect the page to the URL of the desired view.
I think I may have part of the script lying around to do this, I'll see what I can come up with...or if Paul (our resident JS guru) wants to chime in, he may also have something to do this with as well.

If you edit or create a view, scroll down to the bottom of the page and have a look at the "Folders" section. It has some interesting behavior that may get you close to where you want to be.

BobW,
Sorry for the delay on this, but I was able to find a solution. I have an article that should be showing up on the main site sometime in the next week that will have the details.
I'll add a link to the article here as soon as its up.
