Is there any way that I can use the calculate column field to generate a timestamp (one that atores the Current DATE and TIME ). I followed the examples of Dessie Lunsford (http://www.endusersharepoint.com/?p=410) but his TODAY function only displays the timestamp in date format, not Date and Time.

    All help is appreciated!

  2. TODAY only produces the date. In Excel, another function, NOW(), uses Date/Time. If you tried to use Date/Time with TODAY() it will probably always read noon. Is that what you want?

  3. there are ways of showing the time for a calculated column, my question is, what column are you calculating the change off? Created already stores date/time as does Modified ..

BUT, for example, you can calculate a date/time stamp off Modified like

    =TEXT(WEEKDAY(Modified),"ddd")&" "&TEXT(Modified,"h:mm")

It will print “Tue 5:03” for example
