I have a regular SharePoint blog site and closed or somehow hid the Admin Links web part on the main page. I was not in edit page mode and did not delete it (at least I didn't select "delete"). How can I get it back?

  2. add this to your url and see if there are any web parts that might be interfering with your display that you can delete.

I added that to the end of the url of the blog page (http://..../iblog/default.aspx&contents=1) and I got a HTTP 400 Bad Request error page.

Great, it worked. The Admin Links web part is listed and it says it's not open on the page. There is not an "open" option, so do I "reset" it?... tried that and nothing happened.

Did a little reading and it appears that I need to have access to the web parts gallery, which it doesn't look like I do. Is there any other way?

For the record, problem is solved.

I didn't look under "Advanced Web Part Gallery..." when I tried to find the Admin Links web part to re-add it. That's where it was, under the "closed" grouping.

  6. If you don't want that to happen again, see if under the advanced settings for the web part, you can turn off the check for "Allow close".
