Can you create subsites using workflow in Sharepoint Designer?

    I created a site template. Everytime somebody requests for a site, i want the workflow to kick-in and create a site based on the template. I also want the workgroup name (which the requester will enter upfront) to automatically reflect within the newly created site. I googled a lot already but cant seem to find a definite answer, using SPD. Appreciate any help. thanks

    You would have to develop your own custom code to do that, or use a custom solution like Nintex Workflow that does that OOB. http://www.nintex.com/en-US/Products/Pages/Workflow2007.aspx
