I have a site owner would like to add clip art to some of her calendar events. Does anyone have some suggestions on how to add clip art as an option?

jlschu1,
You can add an image column to the calendar and display a list of events, but I don't know of a way to easily add an image to the event in the calendar view.
To do so, simply have the owner go into the settings of the calendar or event list. Locate columns and then add a new hyperlink or picture column. Give it a name and an optional description. In the drop-down for format url as, choose Picture. Save the column.
Now the owner will need to either modify the 'All Events' view or create a new view. Make sure to select the image column and place it in the view. You should now have images on the events when you view the list of events.
Hope this helps!

I might add, the site owner may want to add an image library to facilitate the storage of images, but this can quickly consume a lot of space if not monitored closely.

I don't know of any way to actually display the images in the calendar view, but here's one thing you can do:
Create an announcements list, which will let you insert images into the body of the announcement. Create a "begin date", and "end date" field in the list, and then create a new view. Make it a calendar view. That way, your list still looks like a calendar, and when users click on any calendar item, they see the graphic in there.Laura Rogers

You can use the "HTML calculated column" method to display images in calendar view. See an example here:
