Commenting on an Publishing Article

    Does anyone know how to enable commenting for an article on a publishing site? I have been looking around on codeplex but haven't found too much.

    This doesn't exist outside of the blog template, as far as I know. But, you can create a list of comments with a lookup field pointing to the page. Then display the comments with a CQWP (if you have MOSS) or DVWP. A static link to the NewForm page with a query string parameter to set the page's lookup value can be done with a custom NewForm or JavaScript.

    What version of SP do you have? Do you have SPD? Have you done anything with CQWP or JavaScript in the past?

    Look at you!! That is such a simple great idea. We have MOSS (standard) installed and we do have SPD. I haven't personally done much with the CQWP or JavaScript but I may know enough to get by for this.
