    How do you crreate a shortcut from one document library within another document library

    Perhaps put a link in the Quick Navigation area on that page.

    In the doc library, you need to add the "link to a document" content type. here's how:

    1. In the library's advanced settings, choose Yes to "allow management of content types"
    2. back to the library's settings page, now you'll see the content types section. Click "Add from existing content types".
    3. Add "Link to a Document", and click OK

    Now, when you go to your doc library and click the "new" drop-down box, you'll have a new option to create a link to a document.

    Can I take that one step further and create a content type that will allow me to link to another library?
