    As the previous post,

I am using DVWP to aggregate data from multiple lists as a joined data source from different site collections through the webservices of the sites.

I am trying to limit the number of items to say the last day or so via a date field;-
    1. Have implemented a filter on the source lists default view but this has no effect
    2. Have tried to use a date filter Web part- no effect at all, always nil results
    3. Have tried filtering the list via the DVWP filter option bu again always nil results

    What should I do ???

    Thanks,
    Casey

The problem only occurs on a linked datasource, even straight from the lists, I cannot sem to filter on date.

I've used this method to search by a date range on a dvwp, maybe you could modify it some to search by just one date? Just to see if you get any results.

It works, but it's really flaky once you get it working you basically don't want to modify the page again as you can see by the comments.

If someone has a better method of searching by dates, please post them.

So far as I know, SharePoint list collection can help you congregate different lists data form other sites into one view. And on the view you can manipulate data according to your own preferences. And then you can export them final data into excel spreadsheet.
