Filter Lists Dynamically

    Is it possible to dynamically filter a list using jQuery or something else. I was looking at the QuickLaunchExtender (filter mode) and was wondering if that could be used to filter an actual list.

    I don't know jQuery, but there are OOB ways to filter lists. If you have MOSS Enterprise version, there are some web parts called the filter web parts. These allow you to dynamically filter lists in several different ways.

    OOTB, there are column filters included in lists. You can also use Web Part connections.

    It would be necessary to know more about your use case to understand why all the OOTB filtering options are not enough...
