Multiple graphics on a single web part

I was wondering if there was a way to add multiple images to a single web part (each image a link to other content). I know that I can make a new page and drop in the graphics, but would rather do so in a web part.

  2. I am not 100% sure what you are trying to do... but did you try Summary Link Web Part? I allows you to add multiple images with links.

  3. If you have MOSS, the CQWP works this way OOB (rolling up News/Page content by default).

Thanks for your replies... I am running WSS. The summary link web part sounds like just what I need, but cannot find it in my gallery of web parts.

    Hi Allyn,

I'd add a custom column of type 'Hyperlink/Picture' to a Links List that points to an image that you have uploaded to a Pic Library or Doc Library (or any other location that people will have access to).

Add the new column to a new Links list view and then display that view on whatever pages you want on your site.

    Cheers

Thanks Ben... I'm having difficulty getting the picture to show up, just the hyperlink text. I'll keep working on it.

  7. Allyn - If I understand you correctly, when you put the HTML link in the column, the column displays the text, not the image you are pointing to. If that is the case, use Christophe's solution for turning text into HTML output.

  8. Funny and interesting thread...the initial description is vague, and each of us shows his own perception of the problem.

Mark, my first thought was that Allyn was looking for the kind of feature you show in your dashboard presentation: a simple CEWP with images and hyperlinks.

  9. Christophe,

Agreed, that's also what I thought, and then the entire thing morphed into something else. Let's start again:

Allyn, please state the problem you are trying to solve.

I take it as a simple CEWP with images as hyperlinks to other places. Without clarification, we could wax poetic on many many possibilities which is fun too.
