After migrating some WSS sites to 3.0 (using our first method of migration), we saw permissions break. Under certain circumstances, even site collection owners will be denied entry into lists on the migrated site. Any workarounds to fix permissions after the fact? We've tried removing users from site collection and adding them back in, but it doesn't fix. Other than creating sites from scratch and moving data manually, we have no idea how to fix this. Newly-created subsites under migrated sites may also exhibit this bizarre behavior. We changed our migration procedure to remove users prior to migration of complicated sites, and everything works fine on these. We just need a fix for the earlier ones that are messed up. Thoughts?
