When selecting a font size in the Content editor web part or any other Rich Text editor, I am given a choice between 1 and 7 (7 being the largest font size).

In a traditional web design environment I am used to different measures of font size(ems, px, xx-small toxx-large), but not this. What are SharePoint font sizes 1 through 7 comparable to in terms of the W3schools standards? http://www.w3schools.com/css/pr_font_font-size.asp

I am advising users to improve usability and readability by selecting certain traits in fonts, but I cannot distinguish the font sizes to tell them which to use.

  2. Shelley - It looks like you've got some web design background, so you'll understand this one: those font sizes are determined at the browser level, not the server level. As an example, someone with a visual handicap may have their font sizes set to very large, where as a coding geek will have them set to very small. The font sizes 1 - 7 are relative to the browser settings. For my purposes, I have found that a setting of 3 gives me good readability. Hope that helps. -- Mark
