Currently trying to fix search in Sharepoint 2007. We have both staging and live sites.Index crawls both staging and live sites (so that editors can use search for unpublished info). Ordinary users search from live and the search returns information from staging which has not yet been published and it's viewable by the ordinary users. Tried taking away all user access from staging but this gets promoted to live and so the ordinary users can no longer see anything, so put back the permission. Sounds like it should be easy config but ......
