   While i am trying to search any word , i am getting the following error

   Your search cannot be completed because of a service error. Try your search again or contact your administrator for more information.

   Please help me in this or tell me the process to start the rquired service

   Make sure the SharePoint Timer Service is running. If it is, ensure the Search service (either Office Server or Windows SharePoint depending on your configuration) is listed as "Started" on the Central Administration -> Operations -> Services on Server page. If this is true, ensure the osearch and/or spsearch services (again, depending on your configuration) is running in services.msc. If that all looks good, run stsadm -o osearch -action start, and try again.
