Hi, I am the main SharePoint power user at my company. I have been using SharePoint for almost 2 years now on my own and took my first class in November 2008 at Directionstraining in Chicago, IL. The company has tasked me in charge of putting together company policies for SharePoint users. I’m trying to find any that exist already and I’m having a very hard time. If anyone could be of assistance I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, Jen

Jen,
If you follow my Kindergarten series, I don't believe in policies. Learn how to customize your site's permissions if you want to "control" your site. If you don't want to live in a "controlled environment," then make sure everyone knows it's the "wild wild west" and just point out some tips.
My favorite "easy" fix for permissions = Members have contribute minus delete. I copy the contribute level, remove delete capabilities, and call that permission level "Contribute without delete." This helps site administrators manage stuff better and less "junk" gets put in since people know they can't delete it themselves.
