    Hello:

I created a task workflow with 15 users. After creating the workflow, it was noted that a users name was spelled incorrectly in AD. The user's name was then corrected in AD. The users account name upated on the site access list after completing a profile import, however, the name did not update in the task workflow. The workflow has now been completed by all users, but I cannot close the workflow as the users name is spelled wrong. I need to preseve the workflow history and the user with the mispelled name cannot update the workflow task assigned to him. Would you have any suggestions on how to complete and close this workflow? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Your site has offered me a wealth of information. Much thanks and Kindest Regards, /kathy

  2. What's the current state of that workflow... In Progress, Error Occured, Completed?
What's the current status of that particular task?

  3. There is an stsadm command that may be useful in this case. stsadm is a command line program that runs on the server. You can read about it here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc261956.aspx

I have the "migrateuser" command in mind.

Depending on how this change was done in AD, it may solve the problem for you. I don't recommend doing it without some kind of test first, though.
