Hi,
I'm trying to set up a SP-site (MOSS 2007) and I've got a lot of good tips from STP and EUSP.
One thing that I'm not on top of is when to use Content Type and when to use meta data fields to tag an object like a word doc.
We're planning to use the SP-site as a project site and a repository for best practice, CV's, contract templates etc. All projects are created as custom sites from customer-sites (also custom made). The project sites includes a document library where all documents are tagged with meta data like type of doc (adm, work docs, presentation etc). The docs in the repository is tagged in the same anner. I only use the standard content type (document, presentation or spreadsheet).
- Should I use more Content Types, or are the meta data fields "good enough"?
- Why should I (not) use content types...?
A clarification would be appreciated!
Thx,
Jorgen
