SPD Workflow Error:

    Hi:
    I'm having trouble solving an error issue with a SPD custom workflow. I installed the Codeplex Custom Workflow Activities (http://spdactivities.codeplex.com/). I am using the "Copy List Item Extended Activity" which copies a list item from one list to a 2nd list. To be sure everything copied correctly, I made a list template of my original list and created a new list as a duplicate (same fields, etc.) My workflow copies one item to the other list when one condition is met.

    I am getting the error "Error copying a list item". How do I further troubleshoot an error like this?

    Hi,

    IF you want to see what is going on SQL side, you can use SQL PROFILER.

    ELSE

    Try activate the SharePoint log

    Central Administration => Operation => Diagnostic Logging =>
    Event Throttling =>
    Category = All
    Least critical to event = None
    Least critical to trace = verbose

    Trace Log
    Path = path for the log

    You will received a more detailed error.
    Activate it, reproduce the error, desactivate it and you will be able to analyse it.

    Don't forget to turn it off after, because it will grow rapidly.
