I created an Excel Chart that has comments in some of the fields. I want to be able to display the chart and when you mouse over the chart, the comments open up. I tried saving the excel chart as an HTML page and then copied the code from the notepage and pasted into a CEWP. The excel chart displays correctly, but I can't see the comments when I mouse over the different fields. Is there a way to do this???

  2. You can use the Page Viewer web part to accomplish this.

Save your spreadsheet as either a single file web page (.mht), or as web page (.htm) then upload the file(s) to a document library.

For the ".mht" version, it will be a single file to upload.
For the ".htm" version, there will be several files to upload (xml filelist file, individual htm files for each sheet, tabstrip file, css file, etc.), including the main htm file with the same name as the original spreadsheet (but with an .htm extension).

Depending on which of the two options you chose, the next step is the same.
On the page you want to view the contents of the file on, add a "Page Viewer" Webpart, choose the "Web Page" option, then type in the path to the file name ("yourFile.mht" or "yourFile.htm" depending on which version you decided to go with).

After applying, the sheet will open and you'll see a little "Red Squiggly" (technical term) in places where there are comments...hovering over them will display the comment.

For me, this does seem to work fine, but I've seen on occasion, people having issues with scripts loading (little message at the bottom of the browser stating "Please wait while scripts are loaded"). To get around this however, I normally just place the page viewer onto a webpart page (no errors seem to show up there).
