When you look at the Version History of a document, it is possible to click on "Delete All Versions".
Is there a way of making the ability to delete all versions possible only to certain people, and not to all the staff - who may click on it by mistake and erase the whole version history?

Yes, this is one of the options within the permission levels on your site.
In site settings, go to Advanced Permissions. Then, click <settings>, and choose Permission levels. This shows you all of the built in permission levels, lets you edit them, or create new ones. There is an item within the permission levels called "Delete Versions - Delete past versions of a list item or document.". So, you can simply uncheck this.Posted 2 months ago # -
