What determines what is included in the RSS Feed and can it be changed?

    I am trying to use an RSS feed from a List Library for a dynamic Flash application but the fields I need are being grouped together as a description inside a [CDATA] tag. What does MOSS use to determine how it constructs its lists' RSS feeds? Can it be edited better than with the RSS Settings page available from each List Library Settings Page?

    Is the source of the RSS feed a SharePoint list?

    If you have access to SPD, you may want to create your own RSS page based on the Data View Web Part. You just have to update the content type and format the output to look like RSS. There's probably some tutorials on doing this.
