When webpart minimized, new item makes restored

    Has anyone done this....

    Take the webpart 'announcements' for example; lets say someone minimizes it on the page to free up some realestate...they want it to restore automatically if someone posts a new announcement. This could hold true to any webpart though; doc lib, actions, issues, discussion, you name it. Any help would be great!

    Instead of minimizing, you could put a filter on the web part, to only show items that were modified in the last week or so. That way, they'll automatically roll off of the web part.
