    Can you help me with a webpart that would allow me to display the list of users who are currently online? It would be better if we can control the number of entries. Thanks for your help.

    I've been messing around with this a little putting a list into a webpart using Name (with prescence) as the listed item. Seems to work great if you have Windows Live Messenger or Communicator installed, however, that tends not to be the case with a lot of businesses so I'm also looking for something that can poll whether logged in = true

    I think this is OOB. The site users web part does this if you have Messenger installed.

    Could be true. Maybe the OOB feature allow us to display only the group list if we do not have Communicator integrated with SharePoint. Is that correct? By the way I found this link http://blogs.sqlxml.org/bryantlikes/articles/592.aspx. I would be happy and thankful if someone coule package this functionality in a web part.

    Communicator not needed, just messenger on the client computer.
