I just wanted to submit feedback to you regarding a class I recently took. I seriously went from never touching SharePoint to getting excited and ready to start my own SharePoint site in two days.
Sharon Richardson of JoiningDots.net delivered a lively EUSP Live Online session this morning on Managing SharePoint 2007 Site Permissions. If you weren’t able to attend the session, we are making it available for download as a live meeting presentation. Download the package and expand it on your local harddrive for viewing.
Earlier this month, Christophe Humbert led a live online workshop on how to create miniature inline charts and graphs with Sparklines and jQuery.
One of the cool things about not being a total moron in SharePoint anymore is that I actually have the ability to help people. I’m always happy to lend a hand when I can, and it’s actually a great way for me to learn even more. However, sometimes it can be hard for me to give the proper advice/help because I don’t exactly know what a person is asking. There are so many different parameters that can affect any advice you get in SharePoint and it’s really hard for someone to be in your head. Sometimes it can take several back and forth emails just to fully understand the question being asked. So, I thought I’d type up a quick blog which will help you ask your questions more succinctly and make sure you get the best advice/help possible (not necessarily from me).
Paul Grenier and I led a sold out, live online session today, “Feedback: Become Your Company’s SharePoint SuperStar!” This is the area where we ask for participant feedback to see how the session went.
I had a great time delivering the live online Train the Trainer session today. The participants are experienced trainers and gave lots of good input when it came to real world case studies. Today we started with a discussion of different learning styles and learning types. That was followed by two presentation decks that can be used for in-house training: Get Started with Blogs, and Get Started with Wikis.
Paul Grenier has completed the second live online workshop in the jQuery for Everyone Series: Setup Your jQuery Environment, Step-By-Step.
The live online workshop, Create a Master Calendar in SharePoint, has concluded. The participants will be leaving feedback here on how the session went, what they will be using the solution for and any tricks or traps they learned along the way.
