For those of you who have been following my progress of the SharePoint Community Calendar, I’ve got a screenshot to show you the first pass at the interface. Click the screenshot and you’ll be taken to a full sized version where you can really examine the tabs.

The first workshop he is presenting, Easy Tabs Interface – Simple SharePoint Navigation for Complex Information, shows how to present complex information is a simple, tabbed interface. On the demo page, look at the calendar. It is embedded in a tabbed interface, each month having its own tab. Notice that when you click a tab, the page does not reload, yet the information refreshes for the choosen month… pretty slick.

I have been working with Christophe Humbert, Path to SharePoint, to deliver some live online workshops using his work Easy Tabs and dynamically generated color coding based upon the HTML calculated column. We were discussing different ways to access information to be displayed in charts.

As those of you who follow EndUserSharePoint.com know, I have a high regard for the work being done by Christophe Humbert at Path to SharePoint. Over the weekend, he announced what he will be working on over the next few weeks, and some of this stuff looks VERY interesting.
