I’ve been working on this for a while and finally decided it doesn’t have to be absolutely perfect before letting people use it. EUSP, along with fpWeb.net, is sponsoring a SharePoint Community Calendar.
The first workshop he is presenting, Easy Tabs Interface – Simple SharePoint Navigation for Complex Information, shows how to present complex information is a simple, tabbed interface. On the demo page, look at the calendar. It is embedded in a tabbed interface, each month having its own tab. Notice that when you click a tab, the page does not reload, yet the information refreshes for the choosen month… pretty slick.
A couple weeks ago, I found an intriguing article by Baris Wanschers on how to create tabbed windows in SharePoint with jQuery. Peter Allen from Bits of SharePoint started playing around and created some really nice documentation, using the solution to document itself.
