Train the Trainer is a quick and inexpensive way to develop an in-house SharePoint trainer for your company. If you know the basics of SharePoint and have been asked to teach it to others within your company, this series is for you.
I had a great time delivering the live online Train the Trainer session today. The participants are experienced trainers and gave lots of good input when it came to real world case studies. Today we started with a discussion of different learning styles and learning types. That was followed by two presentation decks that can be used for in-house training: Get Started with Blogs, and Get Started with Wikis.
The Train the Trainer sessions are going well. There’s another one this Wednesday on how to train Information Workers to use Blogs and Wikis. I also had a request this morning to post the entire schedule for the Train the Trainer series so people can plan in advance and put them on their schedules.
Yesterday was the first live online Train the Trainer session. We covered how to deliver training content to Information Workers, including presentation design, chunking of material and how to restrain from forcing information overload. The final hour covered the course module that will be delivered in-house.
